What precautions should be taken when using liquid chlorine?
Liquid chlorine is a yellow-green liquid. Therefore, below 143.9°C, it can be turned into a liquid by applying pressure. For example, it requires 0.886 MPa at 30°C and 0.371 MPa at 0°C. The specification for liquid chlorine is generally 99.5% (by volume), with a moisture content of no more than 0.06% (by weight). Prevent leakage, poisoning, and excessive flow during operation.
When in use, the following should be noted: (1) Regularly check the pressure of the chlorination unit, as well as for any leaks in flow rate； (2) Attention should be paid to the flow rate and pressure of the pressurized water ； (3) If water enters the rotameter, chlorination should be stopped immediately to resolve the fault ； (4) Chlorination should be stopped immediately when the pressurized water supply is interrupted ； (5) The gas cylinder should not be used up completely; a certain residual pressure should be maintained.
