A vent is typically installed at the highest point of the pipeline; for example, in water coolers, the circulating water flows in from below and out from above, and since the highest point of the pipeline is located on the outlet pipe, a vent is installed there. There are shut-off valves for both the supply water and return water. Generally, a drain is installed after the supply water shut-off valve and before the return water shut-off valve, so as to drain the liquid when maintaining the equipment.
