What should be done with the sulfur in the pit outside the sulfur-sealing tank?

The flange at the bottom of the sulfur-sealing tank is leaking, causing a large amount of sulfur to accumulate in the pit outside. The space there is small and deep, making it impossible for humans to clean it up. How can this sulfur be dealt with?
Here’s a suggestion: use a high-pressure water jet to break it apart, then dig it out.
Have you guys encountered such a situation there?
There are no sulfur-sealing tanks; for those centralized sulfur-sealing tanks, we have enough space outside the enclosure, and we haven’t placed the resistive sulfur-sealing tanks underground. However, the tube side of the gas-gas heat exchanger at the second-stage inlet was completely blocked (due to the high pressure drop, a bypass line between the first and second stages was installed); as a result, we hired a cleaning company to clean it using high-pressure water. We hadn’t expected it to be that simple.
We have one tank per pit; the space is limited and deep, making it difficult to control the jets
Simply break up the area around the pit to enlarge it, and in this way the sulfur will separate and can be extracted
This pit has a diameter of about 600 mm and a depth of over 6 meters; the site conditions are poor, making it too costly to expand the pit
After watering, use the pneumatic pick right away; we’ve cleaned in this way here and it works well
