I would like to discuss with you the issue of treating acidic waste and spent acid. Spent acid is generated not only in the sulfuric acid industry but also in other industries, such as the titanium dioxide industry, the field of hydrometallurgy in mining, and the phosphate fertilizer industry, among others. I’d like to discuss a few issues: 1. I’m not sure whether there are any similarities in the treatment of waste acid among these industries 2. If it is economically viable, are the acid recovery owners interested? In other words, are the recovered acid owners immediately available? Could there be a problem where the concentration of the recovered acid is too low to be of much use? 3. Is the treatment of arsenic and fluorine in the acidic waste generated by the sulfuric acid industry a current challenge? Thank you!
As far as I know, almost all industries that use sulfuric acid generate waste acid; the main difference lies in the types of impurities, which in turn leads to different treatment methods.

The treatment of waste acid depends on the acid content and impurities present. If the acid content is high and significant, with a stable source, concentration and recycling for reuse can be considered; if the acid content is low, then comprehensive treatment should be carried out directly. Since the impurities are different, the processes used to remove them in advance will vary!
