Answer: The feed rate has no effect on the number of tray levels. This is because the main factors affecting the number of plates are the concentrations of the feed and product, the heat condition of the feed, and the reflux ratio.
There is no impact; the number of plates is determined by the type and boiling point of the material. However, the volume between each pair of adjacent plates must be taken into account. If the tower diameter remains constant, it is possible to consider increasing the height of the plates. If you don’t want the tower to be too tall, you can increase its diameter appropriately.
