Reciprocating compressors all use packing seals for gases; taking hydrogen compressors as an example, they have hydrogen seals and nitrogen seals. What kind of purification method should be used if hydrogen is to be recycled? What is the basis if it isn’t recycled?
We don’t have a recovery system for the sealing gas here; it’s basically released into the atmosphere. However, it seems that the sealing nitrogen can be mixed into the regenerated gas stream. I need the expertise of experts!
It depends on the economic value of recycling and the previous requirements regarding safety and environmental protection.
