Regarding current measurement with pressure transmitters

For Rosemount and EJA pressure transmitters, to measure the output current, I used to disconnect one wire and connect a multimeter to measure the current. Today I heard someone talk about using a multimeter to test the terminal for testing (it seems that EJA has three terminals at the back, and one of them is meant for testing; I can’t remember exactly which one). How should it be connected to the testing terminal in order to measure the output current?
The EJA is the CHECK terminal
Simply plug the two test wires of the ammeter into the test terminals of the transmitter.
Generally, voltage is measured at the test terminals, and it is converted through standard resistors.
Better to untie a wire and thread it in to measure the current
Rosemount is a test. Just connect a direct current meter to measure the current
