The control system is used to strictly regulate the temperature of the bed layer – if an increase in temperature is detected, the steam supply should be reduced, and if necessary, emergency nitrogen flushing should be carried out for displacement. There are two types of temperature-raised reduction: one is high-hydrogen reduction, which results in good catalyst activity after the reduction process, but it is difficult to carry out; the other is low-hydrogen reduction, which is simple to operate but takes longer time.
