May I ask about the insulation and heating for magnetic flap level gauges? Are jackets with heating available? Should I just wrap the heat tracing tube directly around the magnetic flip plate for heating, applying one layer from top to bottom?
We are two layers of steel pipes with steam connections on the outside.

Our factory has used those with jackets. However, if you want to add upper and lower contact points for the phone, you must consult the manufacturer, otherwise the magnetism will not be sufficient.
We originally used ordinary magnetic flap switches with self-made heating elements, but their heat resistance was insufficient; as a result, the level gauge became damaged due to the heat. Later we switched to jackets that allowed some steam to be used for heating, which caused the water inside the level gauge to boil. Eventually, we again used self-made solutions. For a level gauge with good overall heat resistance, it’s sufficient to provide its own heating element.

It depends on which factory made your device; some of them produce products of very poor quality. The magnets used in them lose their magnetism at temperatures below 200 degrees, and the panels are made of plastic, so they get damaged even without any heating. If it is produced by a large manufacturer, it can be heated in this way, but it is necessary to consider whether it can meet your heating requirements; if not, a magnetic flap valve with a steam jacket would be a better option.
