In the S7-300, when making additions or modifications to an existing program by adding variables to a DB block, if variables are added to the existing DB block, the initial values in that DB block are transferred to the CPU during downloading, resulting in data loss. Is there any way to transfer only the newly added variables without also transferring their initial values? Does it really mean that whenever a new variable needs to be created while adding a program, a new DB block must be created?
Consider changing the initial value to the current value.
What is the special meaning of the initial value? Will changing it affect the original program?
Recreate a DB block, or find some unused M registers to use, and load the modified program block into it. It will not affect any parameters
