As the title suggests, there is always a difference between the temperature displayed on the DCS and the temperature shown at the site. What is the maximum acceptable level of this difference?
It shall not exceed the sum of the maximum allowable error of the on-site instruments and the maximum allowable error of the DCS.
Is a table displayed on-site a standard table? Have it inspected by the Metrology Department to obtain an inspection report and determine whether it’s a problem with the instrument! It’s hard to say with such complex operating conditions – it could be anyone’s fault; it might be a design issue, or there could be interference from the installation location!
It depends on the accuracy of your temperature gauge
Calculate the error based on the accuracy of the field meter
Does the DCS signal come from the surface? Are these two sampling points the same point? If the sampling points are different, the results will definitely not be exactly the same; even if samples are taken from the same point, they won’t be identical
The sampling points are the same, so they show the same temperature; however, there is a difference of just a few tenths of a degree. If the DCS reads a higher value, then that value will remain high; whereas if the field instrument reads a higher value, then its reading will remain higher as well
Regarding this issue, first check whether the range set for the temperature transmitter matches that of the DCS

The accuracy of any individual instrument channel must meet the specifications outlined in the control system technical documentation; this refers to the deviation between the actual value and the indicated value, rather than the deviation between the instrument and the DCS.
