May I ask everyone, what is the typical usage period for the probes of online pH meters? For instrument maintenance, how often should they be replaced?
There is generally no strict rule regarding the usage period; it can be used as long as the electrodes and electrolyte do not leak. The pH meters in our workshop are replaced only once after a long time, but they are calibrated regularly
The manufacturer will provide the lifespan! We have three specifications available: 1 year, 3 years (non-serviceable), and serviceable versions. If the medium is not clean, it is recommended to clean the electrode tips promptly to extend their lifespan.
Those with high temperatures, harsh operating conditions, and low prices – all of them need to be replaced in January. Those with good conditions and high quality are available, some of which need to be replaced every 4 years
Depending on the operating conditions, it seems that the electrodes in domestic wastewater treatment plants last 1-2 years. Chemical wastewater: about 1 year. The temperature remains at 60-80 degrees; common non-rechargeable electrodes generally last 3-9 months. It stays at 80-100 degrees; most electrodes generally last for 1 month. It depends on the electrode selection.
