Can propylene and propane be detected with the same combustible gas alarm? Does that mean a propane detector can detect propylene? Urgently needed
I really don’t understand this. In the gas (dry gas) and liquefied gas areas, we use combustible gas detectors.
Sure. For a mixture of gases, the LEL alarm value should be set according to the medium with the lower sensitivity. The sensitivity parameters are closely related to the composition of the medium as well as to the design of the instrument itself; you can ask the manufacturer to provide them. @jiaguoyun
Propylene is a flammable gas, and gas detectors can certainly detect it~~ If it’s necessary to measure the concentration of both gases in terms of decibels, gas detectors are likely not sufficient for that; however, there are composite gas detectors that can detect each one separately~~
Flammable gas detection is generally done in a mixed manner, with little distinction between different gases.

Flammable gas detectors are capable of detecting various flammable gases. Propylene and propane elicit similar responses from the same detector, so it can be used normally – there’s no need to worry.
