Which is more suitable for the wastewater treatment industry, a screw air compressor or an air-bearing fan? What are their similarities and differences, and what are their respective strengths? Please discuss it; I want to learn * a bit:P
All of them can be used; screw types are inexpensive, but they generate a lot of noise and vibration, and their efficiency is definitely lower than that of air suspension systems, or even multi-stage fans. It is positive-displacement type, with variable pressure and constant flow; in other words, it is suitable for processes where the water depth changes frequently but a constant flow rate is required. Another advantage is that when connected in parallel, it is less affected by back pressure, and it has virtually no impact on the fan unit. Therefore, if it is used in the same piping system as a centrifugal fan, in the event of inadequate control, the centrifugal fan will be the first to fail. Generally, it are positive-displacement fans used in small-scale factories; they are inexpensive, and the control logic is simple, consisting only of starting and stopping. Air suspension is definitely expensive, but it’s not necessarily the best option. Technically, maglev is more advanced, but it cannot be said that it is suitable for every company. There are too many factors to take into consideration. Technically, the key aspects are regulation and efficiency; if control is done well, multi-stage fans can also be more energy-efficient than magnetic suspension systems – I’ve seen such cases.
