Gentlemen, I am currently working on a project. My organization currently has over 300 pressure gauges and pressure transmitters, and the annual cost for calibrating them amounts to tens of thousands of dollars. Now we are considering establishing our own system for calibrating these pressure gauges. I would like to ask experienced experts: how much does it generally cost to establish standards for pressure gauge calibration? Is it all made up of those parts? Are there any specific standards for the renovation of laboratories?
The main cost in establishing standards lies in purchasing standard devices. There are many manufacturers and types of pressure calibration devices available today, and foreign brands are more expensive than domestic ones. The laboratory environment must meet the requirements of the testing regulations, primarily with regard to temperature and humidity; generally, an air conditioner is sufficient.
Unless you are a large state-owned enterprise with strong official connections, it is advisable to spend money to ensure safety.
To calibrate the transmitter as well, a pressure module with a precision of 0.05 grade and a digital pressure calibrator (0.05) can be used; the measurement range of the pressure module can be selected according to actual requirements. Then, prepare the necessary documents in accordance with the requirements of JJF1033-2008 \"Specifications for the Evaluation of Measurement Standards\", and apply to the technical supervision department to establish such a standard; once approved, internal calibration work can be carried out. It will cost around 50,000 to 60,000 in total.

It’s not necessary to have everything inspected; it’s sufficient to inspect the critical parts. My fee for inspections is 150 yuan per session, with two inspections per year. Of course, this fee can be negotiated with the quality supervision agency, depending on your ability to negotiate.
