Who can tell me what tools are needed for instrument repair?
Small clamps, small screwdrivers, small pipe wrenches – in short, nothing that requires to be large. When large jigs are needed, such as for installing or removing thermocouples, this is only used during maintenance. Tetrafluoro, corresponding fittings.
To be more specific, from small items to larger ones, I need to report this to the finance department for purchasing purposes, so that it can be used by the instrument repair technicians in the future
They are all common tools such as knives, wrenches, voltage testers, soldering irons, etc.... Testing instruments like multimeters and signal generators are also essential....
Personal tools commonly used by electricians: Power tools: multimeter, soldering iron, clamp meter (optional). Manual tools: one 6’, one 8’, and one 10’ adjustable wrench each; sets of metric and imperial hex keys; a set of small screwdrivers (crosshead and Phillips), a set of large screwdrivers (crosshead and Phillips), a set of ring wrenches (up to 7/8 size); one wire stripper and one crimping tool; one electrician’s knife; one small pipe wrench, and other common manual tools. Consumables: electrical tape, heat shrink tubing, several wire lugs, and so on. Team-level tools: pressure calibration bench, signal generator, calibrator, several standard meters, 24V regulated power supply, resistance box, small heating furnace, as well as specialized tools provided by the complete set of equipment, etc. That’s about it, I guess. Here, we basically have an 8’ wrench and a screwdriver with interchangeable heads, which are sufficient for over 80% of the tasks. The instrument doesn’t have much to do on a regular basis. Personal opinion, for reference only
