Our company wants to add a small shell-and-tube heat exchanger for water treatment; with a heat exchange area of 30㎡, it can replace the plate heat exchangers that have been causing problems in the past. Please help by creating a simple CAD drawing. . Thank you~:D
On page P15 of the Heat Exchanger Design Manual (Qian Songwen), the heat exchange tubes with a diameter of 19 have a DN400 rating; their length is 3 meters, and the total area is 30.1 m2. If there is a problem with the removable panel, it can be replaced with a welded panel.
This requires selection and process calculations; it’s not possible to rely solely on the heat exchange area. Standards serve as a theoretical guide for selection, and it is necessary to conduct calculations to determine whether the requirements are met.
