Although electric hoists are considered special equipment, there isn’t much that needs to be done in terms of daily maintenance; it can be handled by one’s own maintenance staff, and it’s quite convenient. Now the company has entered into a maintenance contract with a private company for the electric hoists; it is said that this company has the necessary qualifications. However, whenever there is even the slightest issue that requires inspection and repair, they are unable to arrive at the site immediately, which is quite troublesome. I wonder if the safety supervision authorities have any specific regulations regarding the daily maintenance of electric hoists?
It’s not true that a electric hoist must be a special type of equipment; the lifting capacity and height also play a role! I’m just repairing my own equipment

First of all, if it is explosion-proof, it belongs to special equipment. It must be a qualified company that carries out the maintenance; otherwise, in the event of an accident, the factory will bear full responsibility.
Usually, it is repaired by the user themselves; only in special cases is it repaired by the manufacturer.
All the bridge cranes in our company are over 5 tons in weight, and they are inspected by external manufacturers every year; it is not allowed to carry out such inspections on our own.
