Process and instrumentation: Before the machinery is completed, print the latest version of the PID drawings and distribute them to the process engineers and operators responsible for starting up the system. Each person then checks various processes according to their assigned tasks, with the main checks focusing on: a) whether the processes are in line with the PID drawings ; b. Is the installation location of the valve convenient for operation? ; c. Whether the bolts at each flange connection are tightened – visual inspection. Haha, don’t laugh – there are indeed cases where not enough bolts were used ; d. Check whether each gasket is a temporary one and make a mark ; e. Check the insulation of the instruments ; f. Check the installation status according to the PID’s Notes. Well, foreign PID diagrams clearly indicate the installation locations of each instrument, while in domestic diagrams, it seems that the design institutes treat this information as a secret ; g. Check the instrument range, etc. Mechanics: a. The mechanical engineers from the commissioning team are involved in the inspections during the individual unit commissioning ; b. Check the pipeline stress condition ; c. Check for gaps in the grouting (knock on it; you can tell by listening to the sound). Electrical: a. Check the grounding resistance (this is prone to problems in relatively dry areas) ; b. Check the insulation condition (resistance between the three phases, resistance from each phase to ground) ; c、Witness for single rotation test of motor ; d. Grounding connections of various electrical equipment ; e. Bolt torque of grounding connection wires, etc ; Instrumentation: a. Witness the single-circuit testing by the construction unit (without power applied) ; b. Check the installation quality of the local control instruments (the wiring quality inside the junction box).
