At present, solvent deasphalting is a niche process in the industry, but it represents an excellent technique for improving the yield and quality of products in heavy oil processing. Domestic refineries are currently paying considerable attention to this. But there are no statistics on this.

There are currently 38 sets in total, with 22 sets belonging to CNPC and Sinopec, and 1 set belonging to CNOOC in Ningbo Daxie. In recent years, private enterprises have mainly focused on lubricant raw materials, as well as raw materials for catalysis and delayed coking. There are 6 such facilities in Shandong, 2 in the Northeast, and the remaining 8 are located in Guangdong, with most of them being of small scale. It is mainly the Luoyang Design Institute and the Jinan Design Institute.
