This catalog was established based on relevant domestic and international standards, literature, and experimental parameters for certain types of dust, as well as case studies of dust explosion accidents from around the world. The characteristic parameters of flammable dust explosions listed in the catalog are the results of experimental tests conducted on dust samples taken from specific sections or equipment within a particular process. II. Meaning of each column 1. Serial number: It refers to the sequential number of the combustible dusts in this catalog. 2. Product name: refers to the name of the combustible dust. 3. Median particle size: It refers to the particle size at which the cumulative percentage of the particle size distribution of a dust sample reaches 50%, with the unit being μm. 4. Lower explosion limit: It refers to the lowest concentration at which a dust cloud can sustain flame propagation under the action of a given energy ignition source, with the unit being g/m3. 5. Minimum ignition energy: refers to the minimum amount of energy from an ignition source required to cause an explosion in a dust cloud, measured in mJ. 6. Maximum explosion pressure: refers to the highest pressure that can be reached when a dust cloud explodes in a closed container under certain ignition energy conditions; the unit is MPa. 7. Explosion index: It refers to the product of the maximum explosion pressure rise rate of dust and the cube root of the volume of the enclosed container, with the unit of MPa·m/s. 8. Dust cloud ignition temperature: refers to the lowest temperature of a hot surface required to ignite a dust cloud, measured in °C. 9.
