Questions about power supply for electric valves, electrical equipment, and instruments?

It is common to see electric valves specified with a power supply of AC380V, 50Hz / AC220V, 50Hz. . . Wait, how exactly should we choose the power supply requirements for our electrical equipment? ? ? ? Are there any guidelines?
For applications requiring high thrust/torque, use 380V； Low thrust/torque, can use 220V ； However, for the sake of consistency, some projects uniformly use 380V……
There is no explicit specification; 380V is generally recommended
