If a substance is soluble in both water and trichloromethane, can it be extracted from water using trichloromethane?
It’s possible, but multiple extractions are required; central control analysis can be carried out
Adding inorganic salts to the aqueous phase can increase oil phase extraction
See which one has a higher solubility; if it separates well from water, then distillation can be used directly
