I’ve been facing a problem with my marine colleagues: the thermistor-based temperature measurement gives inaccurate results. I’ve checked all the possible causes, and everything seems to be normal. The issue is resolved as soon as the wires are reconnected at the DCS cabinet terminals. The connections are tight, and there’s no dust inside the cabinet. I’ve been worried about this for a long time, not knowing what could be causing it.
Everything related to that circuit needs to be checked, such as the cards.
If that’s the case, just reconnect the wires – nothing else needs to be done.
Everything else on this card is normal; just reconnecting that cable will fix the issue.

If the terminal blocks remain exposed to the outside for a long time, they will experience some oxidation. Under normal circumstances, the card holder should not present any problems; it is recommended to replace the wire pressing clip or the channel
Is there interference? Reconnecting the wires is equivalent to eliminating the interference once; check whether the grounding is proper.
There are no issues with other points on the same multi-core cable, and the shielding has also been checked and is normal.
It makes some sense; there are such cases in individual instances.
I also think it’s a shielding issue; the static electricity is released every time it’s tightened.
