Renovation of small boilers

The efficiency of existing small boilers is only around 65%, and it’s not clear how much more it can be improved. Additionally, the coal feeding system is a tubular SCREW CONVEYOR/AUGER, and it has no return material system nor exhaust gas preheating system. Are these helpful?
Boiler model? What is the combustion method? What is the exhaust temperature?
There is no model; it was developed by a foreign family on their own.
With such low efficiency, it must be a combustion issue. You can try adjusting the air distribution; there is also a device available to measure the oxygen content at the exhaust end, ensuring that the oxygen concentration in the flue gas remains around 5.
Providing more detailed information will yield a more satisfactory response. Is exhaust gas the waste gas from a boiler? If so, exhaust cooling equipment should be added
