Experts, as the title suggests, under what circumstances are drain valves and vent valves typically operated? Do you use it frequently or not very often?
Not much operation needed. In my opinion, a drain is something that is used only when it is necessary to empty a pipeline ； Venting is used only when the pipeline needs to be filled with a liquid medium.
The term \"guided drainage\" implies liquid cutting, allowing for discharge on-site; it is usually permitted to be used in such cases, otherwise there should be a sealed system for draining the liquid. Of course, the drain line is likely just a low-point vent; it is activated only when it’s necessary to cut off and empty the material.
It definitely can’t be used all the time; otherwise, energy conservation and environmental protection goals won’t be achieved. It’s generally used for maintenance or when there are operational abnormalities.
Drainage is used when the pipeline needs to be filled with a gaseous medium, while venting is used when the pipeline needs to be filled with a liquid medium.
It seems to differ quite a bit from the literal meaning
