Do battery-powered portable instruments require explosion-proof certification when used in explosive areas? Support from relevant standards is required.
All handheld electrical instruments used in explosive environments must be explosion-proof; mobile phones are not allowed in such environments, let alone instruments.

Inazardous areas, instruments used must have an explosion-proof certificate. Generally, battery-powered portable instruments are intrinsically safe certified. After being charged indoors, it is used in outdoor hazardous areas.
The battery itself is encapsulated for explosion protection (Exm), while the circuit of the indicator can be designed to be intrinsically safe, thereby achieving this goal. The poster can check the explosion-proof mark on the device, or on the battery, to see if there is an Exm mark. @jiaguoyun
General rule: Portable devices are not allowed to be used in explosion-proof areas.
