Is there any testing to measure SO3 in catalyzed flue gas before and after desulfurization? What method (or standard) is used, and what are the measured values?

Sulfur trioxide is a colorless, sublimable solid with three phases. It is a liquid at room temperature, a solid under standard conditions, and a gas when heated. The method for detecting sulfur trioxide in gases involves first measuring the total sulfur and sulfur dioxide levels, and the difference gives the value of sulfur trioxide. Almost no one needs data on sulfur trioxide, unless for sulfur balance studies. It is generally believed that 10% of the flue gases from catalytic cracking consist of sulfur trioxide, while 90% consists of sulfur dioxide.
