Instructions for using the Import function in the MTL safety barrier configuration software

2015-11-30View Original

Thread Content

The configuration software for MTL safety gates, PCS45, functions properly when using the Export function – the file types that can be exported are *TXT* and *CSV*. However, when trying to import these files using the Import function, it shows that they cannot be read. I need someone’s help urgently; thank you! ! !

This post was last edited by budaoweng123 on 2015-12-1 08:35. It hasn’t been tested on-site, but on my own computer in demo mode, both import and export work fine. For example, I configure a K-type thermocouple and then export it. Edit the file exported in Excel, change K to B, and then import it. It can be seen that the configuration has indeed been changed to B

I didn’t use it in demo mode, but during actual operation on site, the temperature and speed were displayed properly by the safety gate, and everything worked fine under online configuration. However, when exporting and then importing the exported *TXT or *CSV files into other safety gates of the same model, the data couldn’t be read. What does this have to do with? Please give me some advice so I can try it. Thank you! ! !

Demo-mode means operating without connecting to the field safety barrier, for demonstration on a computer. You can try doing this to see if the import is successful. If it doesn’t work, it might be related to your software.

I’ll give it a try to see if it works well in a demonstration setting This shouldn’t be related to any identification code inside a single safety barrier, right?

I’ve resolved my issue; it was a software version problem. Since my version was too new, reinstalling a lower version solved it. Thank you! ! !
