Why do alkylated oils contain silicon? Where does it come from? Is it from the raw materials, or from by-products of the reaction, or perhaps from the equipment and materials used? I heard that turbine-stirred reactors are available; do we have them in our sulfuric acid process step-wise reactors? How can I get out then? I would appreciate some advice from the experts here. :handshake
Is there a process of injecting silicon-containing agents in the production process of raw material C4?
It’s possible as well, but most butanes come from catalysis, coking, and reforming.
It should have been brought in with the C4 from coking. A large amount of silicone oil defoamer is injected into the coking unit. For reference.
