I have just started learning about this area, and I would like to ask: regarding the silencers used on steam generators, why are they installed on these devices? Can steam generators produce very loud noises?
Without a silencer, the noise will be extremely loud; it probably won’t pass safety tests!
What specific type of steam generator are you referring to, and what are the temperature and pressure conditions like?
Generally, this silencer is used during the startup phase to warm the pipes and the machine, as well as for abnormal venting; it is not in use under normal conditions. Even when in use, it’s very noisy; not to mention that it’s not available
Chemical plants are subject to noise pollution regulations; as mentioned above, installing such equipment generates a lot of noise, let alone not installing it at all
