In the chemical processing section of our factory, there is a sludge scraper with a diameter of 20 meters and a semi-bridge type of peripheral drive mechanism that has broken down. The reason is that the bearing in the intermediate rotating support is damaged; as a result, the machine cannot rotate. It is necessary to replace the intermediate rotating support. Our factory has never carried out such a replacement before. I would like to ask if anyone here has any ideas on how to carry out this replacement, or if they have experience with it. It seems like a difficult task – how should we proceed? ?
Personally, I think a crane is needed for the repair.
