In one diagram, it is shown that the NH3 pipes use 316L EP+Heater Line+Warm Cover. What does Heater Line+Warm Cover mean here? Are they heating pipes and insulation materials? Do ammonia pipes need heat tracing and insulation?
Heater Line+Warm Cover refers to the heating tube and insulation cover. The condensation temperature of ammonia at 1 bar is -33.4 degrees Celsius; if the ambient temperature can drop to such a low level, electric heating and insulation materials must be installed.
