Which marine engineer has installed cryogenic pneumatic control valves on low-temperature liquid pipelines (outside the cryogenic tank)? Which brand of valves are being used? How about Koso? Also, how is insulation maintained for the valves? ~~Thank you~~

1. Koso is too expensive, and its lead time for ordering is also long. 2. It depends crucially on your requirements regarding the leakage rate – whether it’s a valve that needs to operate continuously for low-temperature liquids, or one that only needs to open and close occasionally. 3. What are the requirements regarding vaporization? 4. Is it a liquid oxygen tube or a liquid nitrogen tube? There are many types of insulation materials; just avoid those that are flammable or aid combustion

It needs to be adjusted frequently~~I’m worried about heat retention and fear that heat loss will be too high~~Have you done anything similar before? ~~

I don’t understand it. By installing valves on the low-temperature liquid pipelines outside the cold box, those pipelines should already have insulation material, right? So it should be sufficient to simply treat those pipelines accordingly. What remains is ensuring the tightness of the valves and the welds. If the quality of the pneumatic valves is average, I think it’s possible to use sealers or instrument air to keep blowing on the valve stems continuously. Of course, this is just my opinion; such valves can easily get frozen. There’s no problem with valve stems in pharmaceutical applications – a slight amount of heat leakage isn’t an issue, but excessive leakage definitely isn’t acceptable
