The approval document regarding the site selection for Anhui Energy Group’s coal-to-natural gas project has been issued by the Anhui Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. A few days ago, the department officially approved the \"Site Selection Approval Document for Anhui Energy Group Co., Ltd.’s coal-to-natural gas project with an annual production capacity of 2.2 billion Nm3\" in Huainan. The project covers an area of approximately 188 hectares, and its construction site is located in the new coal chemical industry zone in Huainan, Anhui. The project received approval from the **Development and Reform Commission on April 16, 2014, to proceed with the preliminary work. In May 2015, in accordance with the provisions of the newly issued relevant documents, coal-based fuel demonstration projects were required to be located within chemical industrial parks. With the approval of the provincial authorities, the location of the project was changed from Fengtai County, as specified in the original approval documents, to the Anhui Huainan New Coal Chemical Industry Base. This project is funded jointly by Anhui Energy Group, Shanghai Huayi (Group), and SDIC Xinji (601918, stock forum). With a total investment of 15.356 billion yuan, it is expected to generate annual sales revenue of around 6.6 billion yuan and annual tax payments of about 334 million yuan once it is put into operation.
