Are there any requirements regarding the feed temperature, wall temperature, and internal temperature of the reactor during its cooling?
Generally, the rate of decrease in feed temperature should not exceed 25°C per hour; a constant-temperature dehydrogenation stage is also employed as needed
This is our first time starting up the plant. After heating the furnace, we proceeded with cooling it down, but it was stated that the temperature of the feed material should not differ by 110 degrees from the temperature of the furnace walls; I’m not sure why
During the first start-up, the temperature should not be increased or decreased too rapidly. It’s similar to how a new car cannot be driven at high speeds before it has gone through its break-in period; the main concern is that rapid changes in temperature on the walls of the equipment could cause damage to the material or welds due to such sudden temperature fluctuations
