This post was last edited by nigel19861 on 2015-12-9 09:08. I’d like to ask everyone: what is the typical multiple of the pipe’s cross-sectional area that the filtration area of a basket filter is? It seems that the recommended areas for HGT21637 and SHT3412 are too small!

To reduce resistance, it is generally 2.5 times the cross-sectional area of the pipe
It is generally kept at around three times, with adjustments made according to specific circumstances. Factors such as the solid content and the allowable pressure drop of the system need to be taken into account; if the solid content is high and the allowable pressure drop is low, the value needs to be increased in order to reduce the frequency of cleaning and thus lower the labor intensity. Of course, price will also be a criterion for evaluation, so specific circumstances need to be considered on a case-by-case basis.
