On November 27, the water-driven trial operation of Tower No. 1 for desulfurization and ash removal at the Coal-to-Oil Xinjiang Company was completed successfully in one attempt, marking another solid step forward by the company toward low-carbon, environmentally friendly, and clean production practices. It is understood that the company’s desulfurization and ash removal systems utilize the world’s advanced \"ammonia-sulfuric acid wet process\" for desulfurization. The processing capacity is 238.36×104 Nm3/h of flue gas, and the SO2 content in the flue gas after desulfurization is less than 50 mg/Nm3, which is far below the allowable standard of 900 mg/Nm3. During this full-line water interlock test, by monitoring the operating conditions of individual units, checking for leaks in the towers and vessels as well as their associated pipelines, carrying out washing operations, and making adjustments and improvements to the related interlock systems, the facility managed to complete the full-line water interlock test for Tower No. 1 on November 27th, with success on the first attempt. The successful completion of the full-scale water-interlocked trial operation of Tower 1# for desulfurization has laid a foundation for the company to meet environmental standards and operate stably. It also provides a solid guarantee for the subsequent full commissioning of Boiler 1# for power generation.
