The company’s distillation and recovery system is used primarily to separate mineral oil from hexane; these separated components are then reused. However, due to the increased production speed, the distillation and recovery time is too long to meet production needs. Currently, efforts are being made to reduce this time by increasing the amount of steam used. Do any of you have any other suggestions to shorten the recovery time?

You must be using balanced distillation; it certainly isn’t simple distillation.
It’s simple distillation – there are only two components, and since the difference in their boiling points is so large, there’s no need to use equilibrium distillation
