Shida Shenghua to Establish a 5,000-ton/year Lithium Hexafluorophosphate Production Facility, Accelerating Its Transformation 2015-12-09 Source: Huatai Securities On the evening of December 6, it was announced that Shida Shenghua plans to set up Shida Shenghua New Energy (with the company holding 51% of the shares) to build and operate a facility for producing lithium hexafluorophosphate at a capacity of 5,000 tons per year; construction of a facility with an annual production capacity of 1,000 tons is scheduled to begin in 2016 (with a construction period of one year); In 2017, construction of a facility with an annual production capacity of 4,000 tons will be carried out at an appropriate time; meanwhile, the production of new lithium salts such as lithium bis(fluorosulfonylimide) as well as electrolyte additives will also begin at an appropriate time.
The previous project was able to boost industry confidence; hopefully, sustainable profits can be achieved
Shida Shenghua previously wanted to form a joint venture with a Japanese company to establish a lithium hexafluorophosphate production facility, but that plan didn’t go through; I think there’s a possibility of speculation involved. Stocks have risen sharply recently. I expect that Duofuduo, Jiujiujiu, and Tianci will all see increased production next year; by the end of next year, capacity will reach saturation, and it will be quite difficult for new projects to recoup their costs.
It seems to be just hype, aimed at boosting stock prices
Please give your support; I’m not sure if the project is already in operation
