Gentle experts, the chlorine main pipe in my chlor-alkali plant is made of new titanium tubing and is not insulated. Is there any problem with driving like this? Will it be able to start successfully? The current outdoor temperature is about 5 degrees Celsius

When my factory first started operating the equipment, I was a novice and didn’t know these things; in winter, due to the harsh weather in the north, all the chlorine water pipelines would freeze up completely~~~
It would be best to have insulation, as large temperature fluctuations (day-night differences) can affect the chlorine pressure

Lack of insulation can cause large fluctuations in chlorine pressure during sudden weather changes or when it rains, leading to frequent shutdowns. Furthermore, when the temperature is low, the condensate water may crystallize; the crystallization temperature of chlorine water is 9.6 degrees Celsius.

If it is discharged through chlorine water pipes, heat tracing needs to be installed on those pipes; 2) If the main chlorine pipeline is located in a rainy area, it is advisable to add insulation; it does not need to be very thick, as the main concern is to prevent sudden changes in pressure differences between hydrogen chloride due to temperature fluctuations caused by rain, which could lead to interlocks being activated.
Titanium tubes lacking insulation have both advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that they help to reduce the water content in chlorine, thereby lowering the cooling energy required in the chlorine treatment process; they also contribute to reducing the amount of acid used; The drawback is that in cases of sudden weather changes, the chlorine pressure can experience significant fluctuations, especially during the rainy season in summer ; From the company’s perspective, as long as the operators have the necessary skills, I prefer not to use insulation
