I would like to ask everyone: the design pressure for the floating head heat exchanger is 4. 0 MPa, with a design temperature of 200 degrees; the pressure class of the selected metal gasket is also 4. 0 MPa, with a hydrostatic test pressure of 5. 17 MPa – will there be any leaks during pressurization? Should 6 be chosen? What about the gasket of 3MPa? Thank you.

The 4.0 gasket can be used. The gasket can withstand a hydrostatic test at usually 1.5 times the design pressure, and the hydrostatic test is only a short-term procedure.
