A certain company adheres to **Grade 1 discharge standards** for its wastewater; due to low biological activity in winter, it is difficult to meet these standards ; Process flow of the sewage treatment plant: Regulation (adjusting water volume and quality in the regulation tank) -- Air flotation -- Anaerobic treatment -- Aerobic treatment -- Sedimentation -- Filtration -- Discharge ; To address the issue of low biological activity due to low water temperatures, which results in reduced processing capacity of the equipment, someone from the company’s environmental protection department proposed using steam to heat the wastewater, and plans to implement this solution ; The design operating conditions are as follows: 1. The wastewater treatment volume is approximately 120 m³ per day, with intermittent water inflow; the daily water inflow time is about 5–6 hours ; 2. The water temperature is adjusted in the regulating tank; steam is used for direct heating, with a required increase in water temperature of 5–10 degrees℃ ; (The installation is located in Sichuan, where the water temperature in winter is around 2-10°C.) 3. The steam source pressure is 0.8 MPa; the transmission distance is approximately 200 meters, and DN20 seamless pipes are used ;
Isn’t it quite simple? The steam pressure is a bit high and the temperature is too high; in fact, reducing it to 0.3–0.4 MPa would result in an appropriate temperature. The DN20 size is too small! Pay attention to keeping warm!
