Oil quantity for bearings in ordinary centrifugal pumps
It’s definitely not okay to have too little, but too much is also bad too—oil leakage, poor heat dissipation, and so on

If there is a sight glass, it is generally located at 1/2 to 2/3 of the sight glass’s length. If too much lubricant is used, on the one hand, oil will leak from the oil seal, and on the other hand, it hinders heat dissipation, causing the bearing temperature to rise.
Exactly how many liters? For ordinary pump machines
For ordinary pump units, 1.5 to 2 liters of oil is required per bearing housing.
If there is both an oil sight gauge and a viewing glass, which one should be used as the reference?
Based on the sight glass, the oil cup is used for adding oil; it doesn’t need to be empty.

The audition results will determine the final decision; if the oil level is not between 1/2 and 2/3, it’s likely that the depth of insertion of the oil cup is incorrect and needs to be adjusted. The function of the oil cup is to maintain the oil level at a constant height.
