Thoughts on the 2015 Certified Safety Engineer Exam: When it comes to certified safety professionals, I didn’t have any prior experience in the chemical industry. It wasn’t until November 2014, due to family reasons, that I found a job related to the chemical sector near my home. Safety engineers – according to our department head, they are in high demand after passing the exam ； So I searched for relevant information on Baidu. The results were released in December, and I passed all four subjects at once – it was a lot of luck involved. 60, 62, 63, 74 – after checking my scores in all four subjects, I realized that becoming a certified safety professional isn’t as great as the people said it was ； But after learning more about it, I felt that the safety engineer exam wasn’t that difficult either, so I decided to give it a try and registered for it. After signing up, starting from March 14th, I found two old textbooks belonging to my colleagues and tried to read them, but I couldn’t concentrate at all at first. Later, I bought a simplified set of BC textbooks and practice software on TB ； Later on, it was found that relying solely on the simplified version of the textbook wasn’t very useful, so another set of the original textbooks was obtained (only two copies from a colleague were found). For exam preparation, original textbooks combined with practice software are, in my opinion, necessary. In the learning process, after reading a chapter, do the exercises for that chapter ； It’s always been this same pattern. Just reading books without doing exercises means you have no idea what you’ve read, and it’s easy to forget it. It’s not enough to just do exercises without reading the books. It’s the same with management, technology, and law: after learning the standard approaches, when it comes to actual cases, one really doesn’t know where to start, and remains stuck without any idea. By the end of August, I found past exam papers in the fields of management, technology, and law. Like most people, I worked on one set of questions per day, taking turns through them. It wasn’t until early September that I temporarily went online to download some materials necessary for the case studies; I really had no idea how to approach those case studies, and I remained stuck with no clue. And that’s how I ended up taking the road test in a daze. Before the exam, I was in Guangdong and took it in Guangzhou; I had to book a room in advance. Since I didn’t do that, I had a lot of trouble finding a place to stay. In the end, I ended up sharing a room with another candidate from Shenzhen. Everyone should take this as a lesson! During the two days of the exam, I reviewed the textbooks, and it turned out to be useful – I came across some questions while going through the books just before the exam.
