Currently, 2 reciprocating compressors are under installation; the casing and the middle section are integrated as one unit. When attempting to achieve precise levelness, it was found that the middle section is 0.20–0.30 mm higher on the side facing the cylinders. The total length of the casing and the middle section is over 1 meter. What can be done to meet the 0.05/1000 standard? How can this be resolved without returning the equipment to the factory? Please suggest some solutions – it’s urgent!

In that case, the crossheads would need to be replaced, as they aren’t adjustable. We could also consider enlarging the diameter of the upper and lower slides. Since this is new equipment we’ve purchased, I’m not sure how to resolve this issue peacefully with the manufacturer in order to ensure the long-term operation of the equipment;
I also have two small reciprocating machines here that have been having problems since they were put into use last year; there are frequent issues with air leakage and incorrect exhaust pressures at various stages. A few days ago, someone from the manufacturer came to fix it for two days; it was only after 72 hours of trial operation that they were allowed to leave. (There are issues with the selection of this machine; the valve components are also more fragile than those seen before. As users, sometimes we have no choice but to act irrationally, after all, we don’t have highly skilled maintenance personnel.) Communication with suppliers often isn’t peaceful – everyone is just focused on their own interests. Technical reasons are hard to analyze; if it doesn’t work, then it simply doesn’t work. It’s likely the suppliers who are anxious now, after all, their payment seems to still be held back. It is recommended to bring the manufacturer here as soon as possible, so that they, who are responsible for this task, can resolve the issue. Issues such as those affecting production and causing losses were also raised at the special meeting. (Generally, manufacturers will send both a sales representative and a technical specialist; it is important to keep good records of how the problems are resolved, and assign someone to learn the relevant techniques during on-site repairs.)
