I’m asking everyone: how can I set the damping coefficient to zero? What I mean is that there’s no need to integrate the flow rate; instead, the real-time flow rate should be displayed. But I set the damping time to zero, yet when I checked it, the damping time was still 1 second. I’d like to ask what’s going on and how I should set it up. Thank you all
It can’t be understood that way; when setting the damping coefficient, the display shows that it can be set between 0 and 9999, including 0. Furthermore, when averaging the damping coefficients, it seems unlikely that a simple arithmetic mean would be used.
You might be right, but have you used an E+H flow meter? You can’t generalize about everything, right? All I want to know is whether setting it to 1 indeed means that the real-time traffic volume will be displayed
I think you might be complicating things; unless you use it in an LNG or gaseous environment, this 1s has no impact on your measurements. Additionally, regarding the issue of damping, although theoretically it is a simple arithmetic average, this is not the case in practical applications. A simpler approach is to take the average after discarding the maximum and minimum values, while a more complex approach involves weighting (by designing filters). You need to look up the details yourself; I recommend checking out Oppenheim’s book
