Should shims be used for the flange bolts of heat exchangers?

Heat exchangers may experience significant vibration; should shims be used with the bolts?
I haven’t seen it added; vibration of the heat exchanger is abnormal.
I’ve never seen gaskets used with heat exchanger bolts.
If preventing loosening is indeed necessary, spring washers can be used, but this is rare~~ Usually, at most a flat washer is added, mainly to prevent scratches~~
Most moving equipment is equipped with spring washers; I haven’t seen any used on stationary equipment. Let’s also consider everyone’s opinions.
All the shell-and-tube heat exchangers we produce come equipped with elastic gaskets; although they are static equipment, elastic gaskets are still the better choice :)
What type of tube sheet do your heat exchangers use? Should it be used as a flanged tube sheet or not?
A fixed tube sheet also serves as a flanged tube sheet, while a floating tube sheet does not
Where are flange gaskets not used in conjunction with flange plates applied?
