Regarding homogeneous reaction distillation, how is the catalyst recovered? Since it is a homogeneous reaction, the catalyst will move down the tower along with the flow of material until it reaches the bottom of the tower. Is it then necessary to carry out separation operations on the material at the bottom of the tower?
The main reason for asking this is to know whether catalysts are generally taken into account during simulation calculations
