The company has acquired a new type of light hydrocarbon with an olefin content as high as 90%, an octane rating of 97.5, and a density of 0.697; it is said to be produced through further processing of C4 compounds. Can this material have its oil content adjusted? What should be used as a basis for comparison and pricing if there is a adjustment?
This can be used as a component for modifying gasoline; it has a low density, making it an ideal additive for such modifications. It is speculated that this might be a heterogenized or alkylated oil; prices for alkylated oils or isomerized oils can be used as a reference.
